Grammarly’s originality checker requires a paid subscription to use it to its fullest potential.
I personally use this feature often, as well as Grammarly paraphrase.
It helps me to ensure my writing and research are well-sourced and unique.

If you are an educator or academic, this is your top option.
For everyone else, the Turnitin license is unfortunately only available to institutions like schools and universities.
Note: Turnitin does not publicly share its originality checker methodology.
But it is often leveraged by teachers to evaluate whether a student plagiarized all or portions of a written assignment or test.
While I have had my content checked by Turnitin, I cannot personally speak to how the platform performs in terms of originality and AI detection.

One trick to supplement this tool is to simply use a Google search on portions of your text to see if the snippets appear anywhere else online.
Note: Be sure to add quotes around the text that you submit into Google so it searches for exact matches only.
ChatGPT is trained on a vast collection of publicly available text online.
So the platform will sometimes generate text that is verbatim or exactly matches existing writing.
